Drama
Drama classes cover a range of activities which develop performance skills and technique, increase self confidence and support social development.
Class content includes Drama Games, Improvisation and Devising , Script Study, A
cting Styles, Voice, Movement, Characterisation, Interpretation, Physical Theatre and Mime, Presentation and Audition Preparation.
Pupils are given the tools and structure to explore themes and ideas, harness their own individual imaginative and creative abilities and to work collaboratively with their peers in creating presentations for class and public performance.
About Polly Hubbard BA
My desire to Teach Performing Arts was sparked by my own Drama Teacher at School. I followed the Professional Academic Study route through ‘A’ level and Degree Level, gaining a BA from De Montfort University. I have been teaching Drama, Theatre Studies & Acting for over 15 years.
Having worked with youth drama groups in America and Europe and with students in the UK from primary school to SEN adults I have a wealth of experience as a Practitioner, Workshop Leader, Tutor, Writer and Director- producing & directing musicals, plays, pantomimes and new works.
I am a qualified youth worker and have worked on various collaborative projects with both private and public sector agencies on delivery, development and management of arts based activities for young people and communities. I am a registered Arts Award Advisor.
In addition to my work with children and young people I am a Certified Teacher for The Lifelong Learning Sector and tutor in F.E. and Adult Learning Centres in Leicestershire.
